Abstract:

The aim of this research is analysis of the relation of the PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE of COMPUTER with the performance in COMPUTER related-tasks with regard to the role of mediation of self-efficacy and COMPUTER anxiety which has been carried out with planning the conceptual model based on path analysis. For doing this, 282 undergraduate students (142 female and 140 male) from the Payame Noor University of Germi and bilesavar were selected through relative class sampling. They completed a questionnaire composed of a COMPUTER anxiety scale, a COMPUTER self- efficacy scale and a COMPUTER EXPERIENCEs questionnaire. Practical COMPUTER test scores were used to measure the performance of tasks connected to COMPUTER. The results showed that the PREVIOUS COMPUTER EXPERIENCE has a significantly indirect effect on COMPUTER performance through the mediating role of COMPUTER anxiety and COMPUTER self- efficacy. COMPUTER anxiety has a significantly indirect effect on COMPUTER performance with the mediation of COMPUTER self- efficacy. The suggested model has a good fitness with the research data and could also explain 0.72 of the COMPUTER performance variance.

Abstract:

In this paper, I address the issue of the possible applicability of the ideas of Karl R. Popper’s social and political philosophy in the contemporary political life of postcolonial countries. Through reference to the reception of Popper’s philosophy in Central and Eastern Europe, I argue that Popper’s writings were effective in catalysing the political wholesale transformation by undermining Marxists’ pretensions to scientific status rather than through his anti-utopian and anti-revolutionary political recommendations. In the context of attempts to apply Popper’s ideas in postcolonial countries, especially Sub-Saharan Africa, I claim that the influence of Popper’s social thought on the politics of those countries may not be as effective as expected or desired.

Abstract:

Several ocular and systemic complications have been reported after the bevacizumab intravitreal injection. This study aims at reporting the main indications for the bevacizumab intravitreal injection in our center, the intravitreal injection method in this study, and the incidence of the post-injection complication, such as endophthalmitis. This study is a retrospective review of the consecutive intravitreal bevacizumab (AvastinÒ) injections for 359 patients between 2011 and 2013 at a single institute (Poostchi Clinic of Ophthalmology). Before the injection, adrop containing 5 mL Ciprofloxacin and 5 mL Betadine 10% was applied 3 times at the intervals of 10 min. The eye lashes, upper and lower eyelids, and caruncle were swabbed with Betadine 10% but the lid speculum, drape, and conjunctival washing were not conducted. The patients were followed up 8 weeks after the injection for the evaluation of any complications. In this study, 1376 intravitreal injection of bevacizumab in 479 eyes of 359 patients were enrolled. Among them, 141patients (39.3%) were men and 218 (60.7%) were women. The mean age (± SD) of the patients was 61.48 (± 11.21) years. On average, each patient received 3.83 (the range 1-13) injections. The most common indications for the bevacizumab intravitreal injection were diabetic retinopathy, choroidal neovascularization, and central retinal vein occlusion. None of the patients developed endophthalmitis, retinal detachment, or other adverse effects. This study showed that the above-mentioned method of the intravitreal bevacizumab injection is easy and safe. The future studies involving more participants are required for the evaluation of rare complications.

Abstract:

This research was conducted to investigate the relationship between psychological characteristics, PREVIOUS EXPERIENCEs, academic background, management and COMPUTER skills and student retention in an e-learning environment. The present research is applied-quantitative in terms of its purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of collecting data. The statistical population in this study encompasses the electronics active students of Payamenoor University. Using 41 researcher-made questions, students were asked to specify their views in relation to any questions in a 5-point Likert scale (from totally agree to totally disagree with). The content validity of the research instrument was approved by five thesis supervisors, consultants, and experts. A confirmatory factor analysis was used to determine the validity of the measurement instrument's structure. All of the questions variables were fitted with factor load. The reliability of the instrument was confirmed by the Cronbach's alpha coefficient which was equal to 0. 83 The results of data collection after adjustment and tabling were analyzed by statistical tests (exploratory). The results of Pearson correlation test showed a significant relationship between academic background and student retention (r=. 17), PREVIOUS EXPERIENCEs and student retention (r=. 14), COMPUTER management skills and student retention (r=. 47), and psychological characteristics and student retention (r=. 52). The results of simultaneous regression also showed that predictor variables account for about 76% of student retention changes.

Abstract:

Social entrepreneurship is one of the issues in scientific circles that have been considered along with organizational and economic entrepreneurship. The development of social entrepreneurship is considered as one of the ways to solve social problems and harms. The category of social entrepreneurship can help accelerate the progress of the country. The purpose of this study was, therefore, to examine the mediating role of the antecedents of entrepreneurial intent concerning PREVIOUS EXPERIENCEs of social problems and entrepreneurial intention. The present study is a descriptive survey research. Data were collected using a 19-item standard questionnaire by Hookerts (2017). The statistical population of the study was 120 female managers and activists of social entrepreneurship and the sample size was calculated to be 92 people using the Morgan table. To select the sample, a stratified random sampling method was used. Data analysis was performed by structural equation modeling and LISREL software. The results showed that at the 95% confidence level of the structural model of the research, it has a good fit. PREVIOUS social problems affect the moral commitment and self-efficacy of social entrepreneurship, but the effect of PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE of social problems on entrepreneurial intent was rejected and finally, the positive role of two mediating variables was confirmed. Thus, moral commitment, social entrepreneurship self-efficacy affects the intention of social entrepreneurship.
